The cast of RHUGT season 2 is the perfect mix of mayhem and fun, with ex-wives from New York, Atlanta, Orange County and Beverly Hills.
It’s almost time for another foray into the real housewives multiverse like the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2 is approaching. Season 1 introduced viewers to a new, more meta look at the franchise as ladies from Atlanta, New York, Beverly Hills and New Jersey flew to the Turks and Caicos Islands. Now, Peacock is set to bring back a stellar mix of ex-Housewives for another season of fun and mayhem.
Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Cynthia Bailey, Luann de Lesseps, Kenya Moore, Kyle Richards and Ramona Singer formed the cast of RHUGT season 1. It was a vibrant group of women, and viewers were, for the most part, entertained by the seven-episode season, which aimed to test a new way of looking at the real housewives franchise. Ramona was put under the microscope for some of her behaviors, a surprising friendship formed between Kenya and Melissa, and new relationships, including one between Cynthia and Teresa, blossomed. The Season 2 cast is made up of former cast members from the franchise, a bold move by the producers that will no doubt pay off.
Too often, real housewives the cast members left (or even were fired) their respective shows amid epic feuds and high tension. Bringing back an entire cast of ex-Housewives gives them the opportunity to return to the spotlight and with new drama. Instead of a glittering island with sun and sand like RHUGT season 1, season 2 backdrop will be old fashioned The Real Housewives of New York Bluestone Manor by Dorinda Medley. Fans will be all too familiar with the location as countless dramas have unfolded under its roof between women for seven seasons.
Taylor Armstrong, Brandi Glanville, Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Eva Marcille, Dorinda Medley, Phaedra Parks and Jill Zarin will be back for RHUGT season 2. Phaedra, Vicki and Brandi are no strangers to controversy. Whether it’s scathing claims and accusations, rumors of a same-sex extramarital affair, or being branded a con artist, there are plenty of bits from the past that suggest more outbursts and a combination potentially flammable personalities. Meanwhile, Dorinda is known to get angry on several occasions, while Tamra is famous for speaking up and giving her opinion. Jill’s long-awaited return sent RHONY fans into an excited frenzy as well. Eva, who left The Real Housewives of Atlanta last season, seems to play a peacemaker role among the crazies. Hints of a row over the COVID-19 vaccine between Dorinda and Vicki will make for topical conversation, as there is obvious tension between Tamra and Brandi in the trailer.
All of the above, and then some suggest that the dynamic between this cast of ex-housewives will make for gripping television. A mix of women from all different cities worked a treat in the first season of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, and the prospect of a season comprised entirely of ex-Housewives has been met with astronomical levels of excitement. Bluestone Manor will never be the same again.
