Spotify closed its office in Russia in protest against that country’s invasion of Ukraine. Spotify has also pulled content from Kremlin-backed news outlets Radio Sputnik and RT everywhere except Russia where the app remains online. “We believe it is extremely important to try to keep our service operational in Russia to enable the global flow of information,” Spotify said in a statement. The office shutdown, however, could soon see the app blocked in Russia as it must have a local office in the country under a law passed in July 2021 targeting any outlet with more than 500,000 users.

Four limited-engagement music channels will launch on SiriusXM, including channels hosted and presented by Avril Lavigne and Maren Morris, as well as a full channel dedicated to Tina Turner. There will also be a channel dedicated to the women’s 90s festival tour, Lilith Fair.
