…by Dale Earnhardt Jr. Dirty Mo Media is accelerating its podcast release. Axios reports that it is partnering with Audacy’s Cadence13 produce several new podcasts in addition to Earnhardt’s Download Dale Jr. which launched in 2013. As part of the deal, Cadence13 will launch three additional podcasts to bring Dirty Mo Media’s total to seven. The expansion will move the company beyond motorsports and into other sports like college football. Each will also have video companions. Co-Founder and President of Dirty Mo Media Mike Davis told Axios that Earnhardt “has this ability to resonate with people beyond motorsport.”
… Six weeks until Election Day and a new political podcast debuts with radio broadcast support. Jeff Guillotpartner of lobbying firm Millennial Strategies based in Long Island, NY, launches the series A divided house. The first seven episodes are now live with guests from all ends of the political spectrum, future episodes will focus on the 2022 election. In addition to being available on podcast apps, JVC Media’s news “103.9 LI News Radio” WRCN Long Island will also air the podcast every Tuesday night from 6-7 p.m.
…The Toronto Star the newspaper adds The Manjit Minhas Podcast to its programming as the commercial series launches its third season. The show features Canadian entrepreneur and television personality Manjit Minhas interviewing notable guests from the worlds of business and entrepreneurship. “We are thrilled to have Manjit’s podcast hosted on our network,” said Anne Marie Owens, editor of the Toronto Star. “She is an accomplished leader in the business community in Canada and this show builds on our existing strength in business podcasts.” The Toronto Star’s podcast network also includes the Millennial Silver and Responsible investment business podcasts. The new season of The Manjit Minhas podcast will have a dozen episodes. This is Mixxable, a podcast network owned by Influicity.
…The International Women’s Podcast Awards says Amazon Music and Wondery have joined the list of event sponsors. Award organizer Skylark Collective’s list of sponsors also includes Acast, AudioUK, Blubrry, Captivate, Distorted, Pod Bible, Shure and the Podcasting Seriously Awards Fund. This year’s International Women’s Podcast Awards will take place on Thursday September 29 in London. The show will be hosted by The guilty feminist host and comedian Deborah Frances-White. Amazon and Wondery have set up a fund to help cover the $68 (£55) ticket price for the event. The show will also be broadcast live worldwide, but this will also require a paid ticket.
