Phillip Schofield remained moved after receiving a British LGBT award.

The “This Morning” host went gay in 2020 and was honored with the Special Recognition Award at the event, which left him full of pride.

Sharing a video message as he received his award, Phillip said, “Wow that’s a big deal. What a proud moment for me.

“I can’t tell you – I wish I was there to pick it up personally, I just threw a whole bunch of track and trace and masks in a bag and went to get some sun and then it happens . I would love to be there with you. I will be next year, I promise.

The 59-year-old star thanked his relatives for helping him out and supporting him after the reveal.

He said: “I have never won an award individually. Every award you win there is a team supporting you and this is definitely the case with this one. I have had the most amazing people. who helped me pack the parachute before making the jump.

“Friends and family, loved ones, and then there was an incredible amount of rainbow arms outstretched to grab me when I reached the bottom of my jump. Love that, it’s something to which I wasn’t sure what to expect. But what a beautiful family I threw myself into. “

Phillip continued, “Thank you. Thank you very much. Life is always a work in progress, but aren’t we all? It has been joyful to meet the people I have, to hear the beautiful things I have. they told me, and share a moment like this with you.

“Like I said, I wish I could have been there. I’m sorry, but I’m extremely proud. Thank you.”
