LGBTQ + TV shows that reflect the community

OKAY, Sex education is my favorite show on this list (maybe currently on TV) and if you don’t get anything else from this list it should be WATCH SEX EDUCATION. The British comedy-drama centers around Otis (Asa Butterfield, aka the boy in Hugo), a high school student who decides to earn some money by working as a sex therapist for his classmates, like his mother (played by The crownby Margaret Thatcher, Gillian Anderson) is a true sex therapist.

Better than a thousand YouTube tutorials or Cosmo articles, this show delves into every nook and cranny of sex (I wrote a whole article about it), highlighting homosexuality, bisexuality, pansexuality, asexuality , douching, scissoring, masturbation, fellatio, cross-dressing, erotica, role play, fetishes, toothy vaginas, and yes, even heterosexuality (boring, I know). Otis’ friendship with his gay best friend Eric (the LUMINOUS Ncuti Gatwa, who is expected to be the frontman of at least 15 shows by now) is a beautiful representation of the alliance, and Eric’s relationship with Rahim (Sami Outalbali) in season 2 is the cutest. Plus, Season 3 is released on September 17th, so go watch the show, okay?

Watch it on Netflix.
