Houston coworking space The Work Well adds a podcast studio


The Work Well, an executive suite and coworking office in northwest Houston, has added a podcast studio available to rent for members and nonmembers.

Houston-based Caldwell Cos. developed The Workwell, at 13100 Wortham Center Drive near US 290 and FM 1960, two years ago.

In addition to the acoustic panel studio, The Work Well offers a coworking space, virtual offices, conference rooms and private offices, concierge service, private telephone rooms, kitchen with coffee bar and free parking. .

“It’s about staying one step ahead and giving business owners and work teams the tools they need,” said Miranda Stewart, chief executive of The Work Well.

The studio is equipped with four microphones, four headphones and a sound card with USB connections allowing users to record on their laptop. The hourly rate is $50 for members and $60 for non-members.

Member company Meisterplan, a software company based in Germany, uses the studio for audio and video voice overs for training purposes. The Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce produces podcasts at The Work Well for its members in the space. Caldwell Cos. records the “Real Estate, Real Stories” podcast for his professional contacts.

“Our feeling is that the podcast will become popular with real estate agents, business consultants and others as they look for new ways to reach clients,” Stewart said.
