Exile Content Studio, a global entertainment company that creates podcasts and other content for more than 550 million Spanish speakers worldwide, has hired Daniel Batista as Chief Digital Officer. In his new role, Batista will oversee Exile’s podcast and digital content studios.

“In this next phase of growth for Exile, Daniel will play a critical role in realizing our vision to create a content ecosystem built around compelling IP,” said Isaac Lee, Managing Director of Exile Content Studio, in the ad.

Exile’s recent projects include the True Crime Podcast sacred scandal in partnership with iHeartMedia. Exile also recently acquired Dixo, a Spanish language podcast network and production company and said it plans to produce between 25 and 40 podcasts in 2022.

Prior to joining Exile, Batista was a consultant for actor and comedian Eugenio Derbez and producer Ben Odell’s 3Pas Studios, advising on expansion into new revenue streams and was the co-founder, president and chief operating officer. from BESE, a digital media studio and publisher founded by actress Zoe. Saldana.

Prior to co-founding BESE, Batista held senior roles at Mitú, a premier digital media brand for young Latinos, and theAudience, a celebrity social media publishing startup backed by William Morris Endeavour. Prior to entering the digital media startup space, Batista was a management consultant in the media and entertainment practice of LEK Consulting and spent eight years in global finance and distribution roles in television and film. at three major studios – Universal, Warner Bros and Paramount – based in Los Angeles, London and Mexico City.

Kevin Mayer and Tom Stagg’s Candle Media bought Exile Content Studio in May. Mayer and Staggs are both former executives of the Walt Disney Company.

Exile was founded in 2019 by Isaac Lee – who was previously chief content officer for Univision and Televisa – and has grown into a studio producing not only podcasts, but also feature films, as well as scripted and unscripted TV series. The company is based in Los Angeles, with offices in Mexico City, Madrid and Miami.
