D4DJ Double Mix Anime Special will air on August 9th


The official D4DJ franchise Twitter announced that the D4DJ Double Mix The anime special will air on August 19, 2022. It will air on Japanese TV channels Tokyo MX and BS-NTV.

The production team also unveiled a new key visual, featuring groups of DJs Merm4id and Rondo as central characters. They are collaborating on new music that will be specifically featured in the concert stages of the special.

Seiji Mizushima (D4DJ Premier Mix) serves as chief special director after directing the first season. Daisuke Suzuki takes on the role of director. Gou Zappa manages the composition of the series and Friend Satou wrote the screenplay. Merm4id Producer Kazushi Miyakoda composes the music for the special. Bushiroad is credited with original work and production credits. SANZIGEN takes care of the production of the animation.

Former voice cast members of D4DJ Premier Mix to understand Yuuka Nishio like Rinku Aimoto, Karine Kagami like Maho Akashi, Haruka Mimura like Muni Oonaruto, and Kanon Shizaki like Rei Togetsu.

The first season aired from October 30, 2020 to January 29, 2021 and ran for 13 episodes. A the second season will air in winter 2023. The anime has been streamed worldwide on many platforms such as Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Sentai Filmworks.

Funimation describes the first season as follows:

Returning to Japan from overseas, Rinku Aimoto transferred to Yoba Academy where DJing was popular. She is deeply moved by a DJ concert she sees there and decides to form her own unit with Maho Akashi, Muni Oonaruto and Rei Togetsu.

While interacting with the other DJ units like Peaky P-key and Photon Maiden, Rinku and his friends aim for the high stage!
