Three-year Acast veteran Jack Preston has been promoted to global head of Acast Creative, the company’s in-house creative advertising solutions team. Preston, who was most recently Director of Acast Creative for the US and UK markets, will continue to have a foothold in the creative and advertising worlds as he works with clients and creators to develop new advertising formats and push boundaries. of what a podcast is. advertising campaign maybe.

“A podcast can now be so much more than something you just listen to,” Preston said. “While all of our campaigns will continue to have audio and storytelling at their core, we want to work with creators and brands on larger, more ambitious executions that take place across multiple platforms.”

Led by Preston, Acast Creative also hosted its first global Sounds Creative event in April, guiding and educating brands on creative best practices for podcast advertising. The event followed the release of new research from Acast Creative on the impact and importance of ads created specifically for podcasts, versus those repurposed from other media channels.

In his new role, Preston will also work closely with Acast’s group of Regional Creative Directors, developing strategies tailored to each market and client they work with. Acast first launched Acast Creative for its European markets in 2019, before expanding globally to regions such as the United States

Before joining Acast in 2019, the London-based executive spent seven years leading content and social strategy at British radio group Virgin.
