Podcast platform Acast has held two senior executive positions for its US-focused creator network. Tiffany Ashitey has been named US Director of Creator Network and Tim Ruggeri has been named US Director of Development and Studios. Their appointments come at a time when Acast is looking to rapidly expand the Creator Network in the United States.
Ashitey previously served as US Director of Partnerships at Acast, leading a team working with podcasters to distribute, optimize and amplify their shows. In her new role as US Director of the Creator Network, she will oversee national podcast acquisition, partnership management and growth.
A three-time Webby Award-nominated Executive Producer, Ashitey joined Acast in January 2021 from Essence Communications where she had been Executive Producer since 2018 and spearheaded the 2019 launch of the Essence Podcast Network which focused on creating and production of programs by women of color.

Ruggeri has been with Acast since 2016 and was one of the company’s first employees in the United States. In his new role as Director of Market Development and Studios, Ruggeri will source new US podcast talent and manage program acquisition for the US market. . “I look forward to leading our rapidly growing development teams as we join forces with the industry’s most renowned podcasters and bring diverse new voices to the space,” he said.
Ruggeri has previously worked with popular indie creators and major publishers to grow their podcasts and has led a number of high profile projects including Acast signings to A+E Networks, The Intercept, Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino, Dungeons and Daddies and Kasich & Klepper, which stars former Ohio Governor John Kasich and comedian Jordan Klepper. He has over a decade of experience in media, communications and online content creation.
The personnel changes come after Americas general manager Veronika Taylor was promoted in December to senior vice president of Acast’s Creator Network, working with producers around the world. Ashitey will report to Taylor. And Ruggeri will report to Ashitey.
